Worth the hike to get here.. Do be better and bring water, proper shoes, and a swimsuit (if you want to swim in the pool). You do need to climb into rocks at times, however, I've seen elderly people make the hike. Take a dip in the pool or just watch the waves crash into the rocks.

Absolutely unforgettable adventure! The walk to the Figure 8 Pools in Royal National Park is an incredible experience from start to finish! 🌿✨ This Grade 4 track is a proper workout, so bring your stamina and get ready for a rewarding challenge. Depending on your pace (and how many photo stops you take!), the return trip takes about 3–5 hours. You’ll trek across so many different terrains — steps, flat bush tracks, sandy stretches, and rocky sections — all leading to the magical Figure 8 Pools. Just make sure to check tide times beforehand, as the pools disappear under the waves during high tides. If you love adventure, breathtaking coastal scenery, and a good dose of fun, this hike is an absolute must-do!

It was an intense experience! The climb was exhausting and at times terrifying—I honestly felt in real danger and even feared for my life navigating some of the cliffs, since I’m not used to that kind of terrain. Despite the fear and the extreme challenge, reaching the pool was worth every moment. The unique rock formations and the stunning water made the risk feel worthwhile. Definitely an unforgettable and thrilling experience
