Experience one of Hawaii’s most captivating cultural evenings at the Lu’au Kalamaku, a spectacular celebration of Hawaiian heritage, mythology, dance, and storytelling. Your night begins with a warm island welcome, access to an open bar, and time to explore the vibrant craft fair featuring local artisans. As the imu unveiling reveals the traditional underground oven, the air fills with the aroma of Hawaiian flavors before you enjoy a generous buffet dinner of island specialties. Surrounded by live music, graceful hula, and Tahitian rhythms, the atmosphere sets the perfect tone for the immersive performance ahead.
When the skies grow dark, the award-winning Kalamaku show transports you to the age of ancient Polynesian voyagers crossing the vast ocean between Hawaii and Tahiti. The powerful story unfolds through dramatic choreography, mesmerizing fire poi, traditional fire knife dancing, and vivid characters from Kauai mythology—including Pele, Hiiaka, Lohiau, and the legendary Moo-dragon women. More than a performance, this theatrical experience places you in the heart of the narrative as courage, legacy, and ancestral spirit come alive on stage. Super fun! It costs $23 per person for the railway, then more for the luau or anything else you do. The train ride is about 40 minutes and you get to see all the plants as well as feed donkeys, horses, and wild pigs.

We had an amazing time, the price point was way more affordable than other excursions which made things more comfortable for us on a budget! They provided food to feed the animals and the train conductor was super funny! I’d highly recommend this place for your family for some more affordable fun! Bring extra money if you want souvenirs, they are pricy but there is plenty of places to buy nik-naks here :)

Family and I (with small children) did the 'Train & Lunch' tour. We had an amazing experience learning about the different fruit and hardwood trees. We loved eating the different fruits picked right off the orchard trees. Bring water, comfortable clothes, comfortable walking footware, and a empty bag or backpack to pick the fruit to take home. Take lots of photos! Our knowledgeable awesome tour guide, Bruce (A Hawaiian man native to Kauai), made the tour super fun!

It was a lot of fun! We enjoyed the train/tour and our guide was wonderful! We enjoyed feeding the animals too. I would have liked it if they had some sample tastings (even a very small sample) such as the oranges/tangerines, starfruit, giant avocados, etc. they told us about. It would have been nice too if there was a playground or some play equipment for kids to use while waiting for the train (it's not as fun to just be able to go into the shops because the kids beg for everything haha). The pineapple shack was great and the Dole Whip was delicious. It is a neat place and overall, we would recommend it to friends!

This whole property is simply amazing. We took a train ride before our Luau to feed and pet the farm animals After our ride we're able to do some shopping at multiple vendors. After that was the best, most intricate, and beautiful story telling of any Luau I have ever been to! It was absolutely magical and I would recommend that if you have a few hours to spare while in Kauai to definitely head over and be ready to be blown out of the water by all of the drinks, food, souvenirs, and brilliant story telling shows.
