Underwater Photography Course

The SDI Underwater Photographer course is designed for certified divers eager to take their photography skills beneath the surface. Suitable for any camera setup, the course covers essential techniques such as exposure, composition, and lighting in a marine environment. You will also learn how to reduce backscatter, capture vibrant, clear images, and edit your underwater photos into striking masterpieces. The course begins with a workshop focused on maximizing your ability to take the best possible images before heading out for a boat dive at the Busselton Jetty Underwater Sculpture Trail, where you will put your new skills into practice.

On the second day, you will refine the techniques learned during the first session and capture images from fresh perspectives on a second dive. By following the full process from planning and shooting to editing, you will not only complete the course with your Underwater Photographer Specialty certification but also gain the skills to elevate all your future underwater adventures. By the end of the program, you will leave with incredible images you have created yourself, ready to showcase the beauty and diversity of the underwater world.
