What a fasntatic experience for my husband and I! We were on our honeymoon and we enjoyed looking at the fossil and hands on activities!

I gave 3 stars but only because I’ve had mixed experiences with staff. My 2nd grader and I homeschool, so we like to take advantage of the science classes and have made friends at hands-on both staff and other homeschool children. One staff member, Parker, is so fun and enthusiastic, he makes it very exciting for my daughter with a friendly personality and willingness to answer any questions and problem solve with us any time. Another staff member, LA, always gives us a warm welcome and when she is teaching classes, she really does an excellent job of getting the children involved. We really feel welcomed by her demeanor and she asks the children many questions, and is always happy to take the time to get everyone involved in class. You can tell that LA is both knowledgeable and loves kids and loves her job. Another excellent employee is Beth, she’s so kind and knowledgeable as well. Beth makes us feel welcomed and bring excitement to learning for the kids, we feel happy to see her face. I give those 3 employees 5 star reviews! However, there are a couple employees that make us uncomfortable. Two women never says a word when we walk in the door, they kind of huff or puff like they’re annoyed more people are here… if they’re running a class, they’re both very boring, monotone, rushing, no excitement for the kids, they just act as tho it’s an inconvenience, or perhaps they don’t like kids? I can see if someone is having a bad day but this seems like it’s their personalities. I checked in one day, there was a bit of a line, we entered the classroom at 11:02, she acted as tho we were late and wanted to see my receipt, we are members, she’s seen us many times, she then proceeded to act annoyed when we were following the written directions for the robot setup and coding. She was going so slow, not interested in helping, not making it fun for the kids. Another parent asked me for help because the teacher is unapproachable and was going too slowly. As homeschooling parents, all of our children move at their own pace, that’s why we homeschool. I give specifically those women zero (0) stars. I guess my suggestion would be to only let people the who love children AND are good with kids teach the classes. LA and Beth are both great and knowledgeable and have a great way with children. Parker makes us feel like we’re never lost and is always around to teach us how something works if we don’t know how to use an area. The other ladies maybe belong behind the scenes? They aren’t great for customers.

We’ve been members for three years. Our kids are 4 and 7 now. They still love it. It’s not a huge kids museum but has plenty for us to do. Outside they have a kids dig area and beautiful garden to walk through. We enjoy the arts and craft stations - they rotate the theme. If you visit, remember to cross the outdoor skywalk and visit the other half. The staff works tirelessly to pick up after the families ALL day. It’s almost always clean and organized which, as parents, we know is a ton of work. Recently the staff has been extra friendly, personable, and have gone out of their way to provide an excellent experience.

This is a great museum and interactive discovery center. Several fun play ‘stations’ that you would not have the opportunity to play with at home. Our 6-yo particularly liked the exhibit where you could color in an aquatic animal, then scan it and bring it to life on a giant screen filled with other children’s creations. They really have a great thing going here and definitely worth the stop if you are traveling through or if have little ones.

I took my 13 year old after a doctor's appointment to kill some time, since we live so far away and we had a blast! The active dig site and watching the people putting fossils together in the rooms was amazing! The experiments and stuff may seem basic to some, but it was a great time! We especially enjoyed L.A., a nice lady that was working there. My son had a bit of a meltdown and she managed to get him to help her clean up and everything!
