Greater Zion Ride and Rappel Combo Adventure Combines Off-Roading with Canyon Descent

The Greater Zion ride and rappel combo adventure offers a multi-activity experience that blends UTV off-roading with guided rappelling in Southern Utah’s desert landscape near Sand Hollow State Park.

The experience begins with a UTV ride across terrain characterized by red rock formations, sand dunes, and rugged desert trails. After a safety orientation, participants navigate a mix of technical and scenic routes that highlight the region’s varied geology and open desert vistas.

The second phase of the adventure transitions into a private box canyon setting, where participants are fitted with safety equipment and guided by certified instructors. The rappelling portion introduces vertical terrain exploration, allowing participants to descend sandstone cliff faces into the canyon below while under controlled supervision.

Together, the two activities create a combined land-and-vertical experience that showcases both the expansive desert environment and its dramatic canyon formations. The format is designed to emphasize both accessibility and adventure, offering a structured way to engage with Southern Utah’s distinctive landscape from multiple perspectives.
