Immerse yourself in the vibrant stories of New York City’s immigrant past on this rich food and history walking tour through Chinatown, Little Italy, and the Lower East Side. Once the most densely populated district in the world, this neighborhood witnessed waves of newcomers who reshaped its culture, architecture, and cuisine. As you explore transformed historic buildings—now galleries, churches, event spaces, and restaurants—you’ll uncover how different immigrant communities lived, worked, and adapted to their new lives in America. Along the way, enjoy authentic tastings of Chinese, Italian, and Jewish specialties while discovering how families navigated tenement life, where they gathered news, and where they shopped, banked, worshipped, and built community.
Your journey begins at Columbus Park in Chinatown, the former heart of the infamous Five Points. From savoring fresh dumplings on winding Doyers Street to stepping through the cultural legacy of Little Italy, and finally tracing the Jewish heritage of the Lower East Side, each stop reveals meaningful stories of resilience and transformation.

The gangsters & ghosts tour was awesome!!! I learned so much about my own city. Our guide Seth was AMAZING! So cool and knowledgeable and appreciated all our jokes and commentary. Definitely 10/10. Here are my photos of the trees in Washington Square Park. Do you see any ghosts??

Diego was an awesome tour guide! He was very informative and the bites of food along the way were delicious. You can tell he knows the city like the back of his hand. Would definitely recommend his tours of Chinatown and Little Italy.

We were 2 People from Germany, and this was our very first food tour – and what an experience! The NYC food tour was absolutely fantastic. It was not only super informative but also incredibly entertaining. Our tour guide, Blake, was amazing – full of energy, fun, and knowledge. The food we got to try was simply sensational. A perfect mix of culture, history, and delicious bites. Highly recommended to anyone visiting NYC!

What an amazing experience! Diego was the perfect guide for this fun tour of Chinatown and Little Italy. He grew up in the area, was full of stories, and very knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to explore NYC a little more from a native New Yorker's perspective.

Had such a great tour with Diego today! We kicked things off with the best sponge cake and Thai iced tea in Chinatown — ended up buying a dozen to take home. Loved the atmosphere, food, and cool spots we saw. Little Italy was super cute too, with great pizza and chill vibes. Such a good mix of culture and food. 100% recommend this tour. Totally worth it!
