Our guides were fantastic — professional, friendly, and incredibly careful throughout, which made me feel completely safe and in good hands. The first swing is definitely a little daunting, but it really gets the adrenaline going! Every zip line was brilliant fun, and the longest one — an incredible 800 metres — was the highlight. It’s a great experience for both adults and kids. The guides were wonderful with the little ones too, safely attaching two small children to them for the bigger lines, which was lovely to see. The whole experience takes around four hours, so make sure to bring water and be prepared as there aren’t any facilities on the course. They offer a convenient pick-up service, but you can also drive there yourself if you prefer. An unforgettable day out — highly recommended!
Our family had such a great experience with The Original Canopy Tour this morning! Edwin and Daniel were both kind, fun and their security measures are on point! ( being a rock climber myself, I paid extra attention to how they manage the ropes and all the gears). We felt comfortable and safe the whole time! There are 8 zip lines (longest being 800m), 1 repelling, 1 Tarzan swing, 1 tree climbing included with our tour; one thing to know is that there’s weight limit to Tarzan swing (90kg) and Zip Line (115kg).
Very safe. They were accommodating to my 73-yo mom and teenage boys. Our housing was outside the range of free shuttle pick up - but no problem finding the location. Good communication.
Amazing tour, so glad we went with Original Canopy Tours. After looking at different reviews of the other companies and seeing others had accidents, glad I went here. Daniel, Jerrio and Fry were so good and was nice they came along with us through the whole thing. The whole process felt very safe, which meant we could just enjoy the adrenaline rush. The time for the whole thing was also just right. Took us 2.5h and that was enough time to enjoy it all, never felt rushed between each activity. Thanks so much for a great day.
I booked a visit to The Original Canopy Tour Monteverde, as it was highly rated on both Google and TripAdvisor – and having experienced a morning at the attraction, I can see why it’s so popular! After parking and getting a short shuttle bus to the reception, we checked in and then collected our equipment. The guides introduced themselves, and after a short briefing, it’s a 15-minute walk to the first zip line. Over the two-and-a-half-hour experience, it involved an extensive network of zip lines, ranging from short lines to some over 500 metres. They were all excellent and really gave you an incredible view of the Cloud Forest. My favourite activity, however, was the adrenaline-inducing ‘Tarzan Swing’ – where you plummet in free fall before zooming out over the jungle – it’s honestly sensational. The guides were incredibly friendly and gave clear and easy-to-follow instructions at all times. They demonstrated everything you would need to know, making the experience more enjoyable as you knew they had your safety as their top priority. We purchased their photos that the guides were taking throughout the experience, and for $25 for over 30 fantastic photos, it was incredible value (it was for two of us as a couple). If you’re looking for an adventurous and slightly different way of seeing Monteverde and the Cloud Forest – it’s a must. It was great value considering all activities included.
