If you know, you know. Archeological NY. The rectangular yellow bricks was where the original City Hall was located, going back to the 1670s. The white lines are the remnant of the Lovelace Tavern and the metal under the blue.umbrellas were where the ships would port. The sailors would drink beer at the tavern...

I was a wee bit underwhelmed with these ruins. To be fair, it probably wasn't helped by the fact I visited when it was dark. There's not a lot to see here, but if you're in the area, you may as well take a look.
Ramon

Great history- not packed but not lit, can hardly see anything except dirt on the glass. Needs lighting to appreciate.

I really want to give this 5 stars because it is awesome that they let the public see this old 1670's tavern, however the site really needs some work. You can hardly see the plaques below the glass. It is still cool to see the ruins of a 17th century tavern in downtown NY but I wish they would have done more.
Town

Remnants of three buildings that used to stand on this site. They are preserved through glass cases and have some plaque to commemorate this location.
