The Above & Below Expedition offers an immersive 5 to 6 hour adventure exploring the stunning natural beauty of Jervis Bay. Guests experience a full 360 view of the area, from ancient sea caves to pristine white sand beaches, waterfalls, and abundant marine wildlife including dolphins, seals, whales, rays, Port Jackson sharks, grey nurse sharks, giant cuttlefish, and wobbegong sharks. No prior snorkeling or freediving experience is required, as participants receive guidance and in-water support from experienced instructors, with floats available for those who need extra assistance. The expedition departs from Woollamia Boat Ramp at either 7 am or 1:30 pm, allowing guests to enjoy the scenic beauty, learn about the natural history of Jervis Bay, and hear Dreamtime stories during the journey.
The tour includes homemade morning tea, a complimentary waterproof jacket, reef safe sunscreen, and expert information on local ecology. Participants are advised to bring warm clothes, a hat, wind or rain jacket, towel, swimmers, water, and optionally their own dive equipment or camera. Minimum participant requirements apply, and rebooking may occur if numbers are not met. Guests are encouraged to check the seasonal wildlife calendar for optimal viewing, take seasickness precautions if necessary, and review the liability and medical forms prior to the expedition to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience exploring Jervis Bay’s marine and coastal wonders.
