Paul

Found this place on Google Maps but there was nowhere to park and, as far as I could tell, nothing to see.
Mitch

The battle site is all built up. There is no place to park - narrow roads and no lot. Spoiler: The Confederates lost, so I guess they didn't go to much trouble about it.
Kevin

Cool place. A local told me it was the place of headquarters for the union army. There is an exceptional view of surrounding areas with lookout mountain not far away. It also contained a nice monument with plaques displaying information for the site.

This was extremely compelling experience , your destined to see the history of the War through the handful of spots/parks to pull into and then you get to the ridge cut section and it's beautiful. Chattanooga is so rich in American history 👍👍

MISSIONARY RIDGE - (Chattanooga, Lookout Mountain, And Missionary Ridge Battles, known properly as part of the Battles of Chattanooga) A young Union soldier, while advancing up the ridge, grabbed his regiment's colors and led his comrades up the slopes. He was later awarded The Congressional Medal Of Honor for his bravery. He was Arthur MacArthur, Jr., the father of General Douglas MacArthur.
