AVOID THIS COMPANY (update: the company has responded below and has resorted to telling lies about a storm being responsible for the damage instead of their poor installation. I have attached an email below confirming no mention of any "storm" or door being "left open". I have also attached another picture of the shed below which shows all the missing screws. Check out the picture of the back of the shed and zoom in to see the missing screws (coincidentally in the exact same place that I'm having issues with). These cowboys have this picture too but have still resorted to lies instead of holding their hands up. They have told other lies also that I'm not going to address (but will be with the CPCC) because once you see the missing screws and email in the pictures attached you can make up your own mind as to who to believe. Would also refer you to check out Facebook for some other not so positive reviews regarding missing screws etc). I bought a shed in May 2024 and noticed in July 2025 that the shed was getting flooded. It transpired the installer had left numerous screws out which caused the shed to bow and let water in (have pictures). The timber floor in the shed is rotting and there is rust throughout the back panel of the shed. I had contacted the company initially in Nov’24 (within warranty) advising of the shed being wet which I thought was due to condensation but I now realise was due to the poor construction and gaps in the seams. Time went by and I contacted the company again in July 25 and attached pictures of all the gaps where screws had not been put in place. I was advised that even though the warranty had expired by a couple of months they agreed to send someone to fix the shed that had not been installed correctly. I subsequently spoke with their technician to arrange a date to come and fix the shed. What followed was 3.5 months of promises to come followed by countless no-shows & subsequent ignoring of messages. I contacted the company numerous times during this period and was given assurances both by email and by phone that they would make things right. Due to the bad weather the timber floor of the shed is rotting and there is rust eating the steel. Eventually I got so sick of being given the run-around that I asked management to get involved and after a couple of follow up emails I was advised that if I wanted the technician to call out it would be another 3/4 weeks or else I could pay a fee to get him there sooner (while my shed is being flooded). I was also kindly given the option of putting the screws in myself (I had already advised them in a previous email & call that I had tried fixing it myself but didn’t have the right tools and my drill bits had broken attempting it). This has been an awful experience and my advice is to avoid this company at all costs. Despite liking the shed initially, the construction is shoddy and the after sale service is non-existent. I have dozens of messages & emails going back and forward with the technician and company since the middle of July which I am more than happy to share with anyone thinking of using this company. I also have photos of the areas where screws have been completely left out (it is obvious from the photos that they were omitted rather than fell out as the steel is not drilled behind the holes), which I would also be happy to share. I am going to lodge a formal complaint with the CPCC against this company for months of wasting my time and for repeatedly making false promises, which has seen my shed deteriorate from flooding while I wait. Please feel free to contact me with any queries or for any pics.

Shed is fine no issues - however service and aftercare have been poor. Fitter came and fitted the shed on 17th Sep and when leaving mentioned that there was a piece missing (never stated what piece) and said he’d be back the following week to fit the missing piece. It’s now been 7 weeks and no sign of the fitter or the missing piece. Contacted him directly by phone on 24th Sep and said he should be back the following week. We waited and no sign so contacted him again by text and were told “it will definitely be done soon” on 15th Oct (4 weeks after the shed was fitted). Contacted the main office on Oct 18th and were told they didn’t have a record of the shed missing a piece and that we didn’t let them know (why would we - the fitter said he’d sort it), and they said they’d contact the fitter to get it sorted but still no word. So we are still waiting, 7 weeks after the shed was fitted, 11 weeks after purchasing- Sheds are good, service not so good!

My shed literally took off and relocated to next doors garden in storm Eowyn and the company wouldn't honour a cent in compensation, even though it was only installed by their agent Ned a few mths previously..the shed was too light in its manufacture, just a word of warning to anybody..a complete waste of several thousand hard earned, long time to get saved up money. I have the emails and correspondence to prove it. NIGHTMARE,AVOID!!

After several years excellent service, I lost my canopy in storm eoin earlier this year. Here is my replacement all installed over the weekend to protect my barbeque for another season. Where the trend is to purchase online, I love the dynamic of face to face shopping. Mainly because I love to chat to real people, in real life. The experience of what was a fairly straightforward replacement purchase was made all the more fabulous by yhe excellent sales team on duty last Saturday, who looked after my request with joy and personality. Kudos to your team and even more kudos for ensuring the screw hole config of this product hasn’t changed, making installing the replacement even easier.

UPDATE - Still no word or call from the management team at Sheds Direct Ireland. My biggest issue, was the response I received when I inquired about the protective plastic film covering the panels. I was told that it is company policy not to remove it during assembly, as stated in the terms and conditions. This was not made clear at the time of purchase. I bought the item from the showroom, where the display models had the film fully removed, giving a misleading impression of the final product. Had I been given the option to pay extra for removal or to do it myself before assembly, I would have. Instead, I am left with a film that is difficult to peel off, especially in the joints, leaving an untidy and frustrating mess. Certain areas you’d need to unassembled to fully remove the film. It feels as though the company’s priority is simply to sell and assemble the product without concern for the customer’s experience afterward. The lack of attention to detail and poor after-sales support are disappointing. If the company’s only response is to cite terms and conditions or claim they don’t have time, that is not acceptable. This is not just about policy—it reflects a disregard for customer service and product quality. I would strongly advise potential buyers to be aware of these issues before purchasing. And I’ll only remove this if Sheds Direct wish to offer a solution that is fair to this poor experience.
