Learning to create something delicious with new people forms a rare and heartfelt connection that goes beyond the usual rhythm of travel. Instead of simply exploring a city, you gain a sense of belonging and become part of the culture in a meaningful way. Our aim is to offer these moments through creative at home experiences that invite you into the warmth of local life. We believe that feeling at home and being welcomed with sincerity builds a bond that stays with you long after the experience ends.
Cig kofte is a treasured dish from Southeastern Turkey that reflects everything we value at LokalBond. While many know it as a popular vegetarian street food, its true spirit comes from being prepared at home with a joyful crowd gathered around. In this experience, you will join the local team, roll up your sleeves, and knead the mixture together while sharing stories and laughter. The traditional test of tossing it to the ceiling is usually part of the fun, but we will keep the process clean and hygienic. Step into our home for an authentic cig kofte session and leave with new friends, warm memories, and a taste of true hospitality.

Had a great night last night in howth cookery school. I did the fear free fish cookery course. We had a great instructor in Ian. He was really helpful and made the experience both relaxed and fun. Afterwards we sat down in a lovely room in the castle to eat the food we had cooked and enjoy a glass of wine. I will definitely be putting the lessons learned to good use at home and would be very happy to return again.

Had a lovely time at Howth Cooking school with Pierre and Lorainne. They were so helpful and I learnt a lot! Looking forward to trying some more cooking classes soon.

Had a lovely experience learning to cook creole food. Then got to eat in a lovely setting afterwards with a glass of wine too.

I absolutely loved my experience at Howth Cookery School. I went with my wife for a weekend class, and together we prepared a delicious menu: traditional chowder, Guinness bread, a fresh salad with caramelized almonds, and a vibrant beetroot hummus. What made it even more special was the setting — we got to enjoy our meal in one of the old castle rooms, surrounded by people from all over the world who share the same passion for cooking. The atmosphere was warm, fun, and inspiring. It was a truly memorable experience that combined great food, learning new skills, and connecting with others in a unique historic setting. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Howth or Dublin who loves food and culture.

My daughter and I did a morning Teens and Tweens introduction to baking and loved it. The staff had really gone to great lengths to give everyone a great experience. They had hot chocolate and coffee for all the participants and lots of prep done with the ingredients before we got there. We'll definitely be back for more.
