We had an excellent experience with Cotswold Guided Tours and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a personal, well-organized, and truly memorable tour of the Cotswolds. We booked the Epic Cotswold Tour and were so impressed from start to finish. Lucy’s clear communication made the booking process smooth. She shared detailed tour information, helpful links, suggestions, and prompt responses to every question. As our tour approached, she sent pickup details that included a photo of Richard and his contact info which made us feel comfortable and prepared. On the day of the tour, Richard greeted us right on time in front of our hotel. He immediately made us feel comfortable, and throughout the day, he kept us engaged with his extensive knowledge of the area, fascinating stories, and easy conversation. His commentary brought each village to life before we even arrived. Richard also provided a map noting restrooms, shops, photo spots, and local must-sees for each village. The vehicle was spotless, comfortable, and stocked with umbrellas (which came in handy a few times!). Richard’s use of a headset and speaker ensured we could clearly hear his commentary, and his local driving expertise made the journey relaxed and efficient. At the end of the day, Richard and Lucy surprised us with a thoughtful gift of beautifully printed photos of each village we visited, labeled on the back so we could remember our day. It was such a personal and meaningful touch. We can’t recommend Cotswold Guided Tours enough. Lucy and Richard go above and beyond to make their tours personal, informative, and unforgettable. We did the 8-hour Cotswold Guided Tour with Richard and it was fantastic! He was an amazing guide—friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole day fun and relaxed. The route was perfect, starting with beautiful Bourton-on-the-Water (our favorite!) and continuing to Bibury, Burford, and Stow-on-the-Wold. We also visited Lower Slaughter, the charming village of Snowshill, and finished in the lovely town of Chipping Campden. Each stop had its own charm, and we never felt rushed due to the excellent itinerary Richard had planned. My wife absolutely loves the Cotswolds, and this tour perfectly captured everything she adores about the area—quaint villages, beautiful scenery, and rich history. Having Richard’s insight and stories made the experience even more special for both of us. This was an excellent tour from start to finish, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking to see the best of the area in just one day.

The Cotswolds is a stunningly beautiful destination to visit in England, but seeing it with Cotswold Guided Tours made the experience so much more relaxing and enriching. My wife and I spent 4 of our 25 day tour of England in the Cotswolds. Being one of our bucket list places, we wanted to have an immersive experience of the Cotswolds, but at the same time did not want to miss out on seeing some of the farther places. We decided to join the North & South Cotswold two day small group tour put on by Cotswold Guided Tours. The itinerary was perfect. It gave us a broad sampling of the various sites in the Cotswolds and hit most of our top must see places. Richard and Lucy put a lot of thought and care into this tour. We were driven in their very clean and very comfortable new van. It offered a very good view of the countryside. To ensure that every one of the 7 passengers (we only had 6 on our tour) got to enjoy the ride equally, Richard asked us to rotate seats at each leg of the tour. During the drive Richard would tell us all sorts of interesting facts about the area we were visiting or share insights into his and Lucy's life in the Cotswold. He was very entertaining and informative. When we arrived at a destination, Richard would escort us to provide further well researched information about the history of the places and very interesting etymology lessons. Then we would be provided with laminated maps of the place and given free time to explore and to take pictures. This is how I wish all guided tour groups operated. Richard was very punctual and his schedule allowed us a fair amount of time to visit each destination while avoiding the major congestion at the more popular sites. On the last day, Richard made extra effort to get us back to Moreton-in-Marsh to give us more time to catch our bus...what a gentleman! Thank-you Lucy and Richard for giving us such a well structured and fabulous tour of the Cotswold.
