4 nights at the golf village as a self-catering guest with wife and two sons. The accommodation was excellent and we enjoyed unspoiled views of the ocean. Sitting out on the patio was bliss. It was peaceful and scenic. The beds were very comfortable and the all-important wi-fi provided the boys with all the internet they needed. However, it is the staff that make the special difference here. From the shuttle driver Ricardo to the wonderfully helpful, patient and kind Cristina. She was a gem. She was very knowledgeable and happy to help in any way she could. The golf staff and bar staff were so very pleasant and could not do enough to make our stay wonderful. They were all a credit to the village.

The course is absolutely stunning — perched high in the hills with panoramic views over Funchal and the Atlantic Ocean, it’s hard to focus on your swing with scenery this beautiful. The layout is both challenging and rewarding, with a great mix of holes that test your skills without feeling overwhelming. The course is immaculately maintained, with fast greens and fairways that are a pleasure to play on. The staff are incredibly friendly and professional, from the clubhouse to the starter — you feel welcomed from the moment you arrive.
Set in the hilltops of Funchal, sits this fantastic golf course. Staff are friendly and helpful. Clubs are loaded onto your buggy (recommended as course is quite hilly to negotiate on foot) Greens and fairways are in top condition. This is a must play course whilst on the island. The only negative would be lack of signage around the course.
Nice place and view. Golf course in very good condition and “playable” for advance golf players as well as beginners. Good value for afternoon tee times (200 Eur for 2 players, 2 sets of clubs and buggy).
