The PADI Rescue Diver course is designed to transform the way you approach diving, giving you the skills and confidence to handle emergencies underwater while keeping the experience enjoyable. Throughout the course, you’ll learn to anticipate and manage potential problems before they escalate, making you a safer and more aware diver. The program combines theory, practical exercises, and real-world scenarios to help you think like a rescue diver. You’ll practice essential skills such as recognizing distressed divers, managing panicked situations, and assisting fellow divers in need, all under the guidance of a certified PADI instructor.
By the end of the course, you’ll be able to respond effectively in a variety of emergency situations, from minor equipment issues to assisting injured divers. You’ll also gain experience using an emergency oxygen kit and providing support to other divers, enhancing your overall safety and confidence underwater. To enroll, you need to be at least 12 years old, hold a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certification (or equivalent), and have completed EFR Primary and Secondary Care training (or equivalent first aid training) within the past 24 months.
