A night dive in Jervis Bay offers certified Advanced divers a rare opportunity to experience the marine park in an entirely different light—literally after sunset. Conducted from a dedicated dive boat, the experience forms part of a controlled and professionally managed environment suited to more experienced participants.
As darkness falls, familiar dive sites transform, revealing nocturnal marine life and changing underwater behaviours that are not visible during the day. The experience is designed to complement advanced-level diving programs or to provide a standalone adventure for those seeking something more challenging and immersive.
Due to the conditions involved, the dive is not suitable for inexperienced divers. All participants are required to bring their own dive torch, although equipment can be purchased on site if needed prior to departure. This ensures each diver is properly equipped for safe and effective underwater navigation at night.
The trip operates as a single-dive outing, departing from Huskisson Wharf and returning at varying times depending on the season—typically around 9:30 pm in summer and between 7:00–8:00 pm in winter. Divers are asked to arrive at least 45 minutes before check-in to allow sufficient preparation time for this unique after-dark exploration of the Jervis Bay Marine Park.
