We had a great experience on this boat tour of about 4 hours and 30 minutes. Even though we didn’t get to see whales, we were lucky enough to spot dolphins and lots of seals. Rory was very friendly and made the trip even better. We went in mid-September and really enjoyed it! Parking is at The League, about a 3-minute walk from the pier where the boat departs. It’s a small and charming harbour, which adds to the experience.
We are a family of 4 and had a great trip with Rory where w managed to see Minkie whales, dolphins and seals. You never know what you will see but the boat ride is also fun. Bring your binoculars if you have any to enjoy the bird life too.
My family and I went on a tour with Rory with my two kids and husband. Rory was a pleasure! He knew the waters really well, made us feel at ease, and was able to locate a family of dolphins which were absolutely magnificent. He gave my kids an opportunity to sit behind the steering wheel and "drive" the boat. He also took them to the front of the boat (safely) to see the dolphins up close and personal.
