PROS: Beautiful place, learning the history was so fun and interesting, someone farted during a silent time when we were listening for sounds and it was pretty funny. CONS: When we first arrived a guide with another group told us we couldn’t use the toilet so we need to go down the road to the servo.. when we came back our group guide called us asking where we were, we jogged to the front (10 minutes before our tour time) and apologised saying we were told we weren’t allowed to use the toilets here..our guide looked confused and said that wasn’t right and we should’ve been allowed so thanks to the first guide for holding our group up. The groups are too big, more than half the people we were with weren’t listening, on their phone the whole time and being inappropriate it just takes away from everything and you can’t focus on what the guide says. Finally we were disappointed in the guide. some of the “stories” they told were so ridiculous and it felt so inappropriate that the guide would be silent and then SCREAM as loud as she could to scare us..just felt wrong. I love places like this to learn the history but at the end of the day terrible things happened here and it’s a joke how they treat it.
I did the 6 hour paranormal investigation with Jasmine. She is an incredible woman. The investigation was worth the money and travel, the place is amazing. The equipment we were given was amazing, too. The group was lovely, I was lucky to be with such experienced people. Jasmine was a very helpful guide, and is very respectful towards the spirits here. It's clear she knows a lot about the place and it's history. A life changing night, I definitely recommend it. I'm 100% coming back with my family. Thank you Jasmine for the amazing night, I was very lucky to have you as my guide. She was very detailed when explaining how the equipment works as well. I experienced a lot of things that I can't even begin to explain.
My visit to Aradale Asylum was an unforgettable mix of chills and laughter. The place itself is eerie in all the right ways, and the stories definitely gave me goosebumps — but the group I was with made it twice as fun. Between the spooky atmosphere and everyone joking around to calm the nerves, it was the perfect balance of scary and entertaining. If you’re looking for something that’ll creep you out and give you a good laugh, I’d definitely recommend doing the tour at Aradale. A great night with great people!
