We went here for a family trip back in summer 2024 and had a phenomeneal experience! There were about 14 of us on this boat and the hosts were extremely nice, funny, accomodating, and caring with our party. I loved seeing all the sights and learning about the history and different wild life in Maine. Moreover, the lobster experience was so fun! I still watch the video I have of myself and my fiance rubber-banding the lobster claws, and the lobster we ate from here was delicious. If I'm ever back in Maine I'm definitely going to do this again. (I completely forgot to write this review, so I apologize for the extreme tardiness. Regardless, thank you for the fun time and unforgettable experience!)
What an AMAZING Experience!!! Traveling around the world for the military, the family and I have seen and done some things. Captain Dan, Makayla, Melissa and the Entire Crew blew us out of the water!! Showing off your craft is one thing but this family engulfed us in their everyday life. We ended up going back the next day to grab some more chowder and lobster sandwiches!! This is a once in a lifetime experience you don’t want to miss!!! Annnd don’t forget to grab some merch!!
The staff was incredibly friendly, educational, and genuine. I loved that this is a true family-run business — a hardworking father-and-daughter team who share their real life as commercial lobster and crab fishers. You can tell how passionate and appreciative they are of what they do. We went near the end of the season, so there wasn’t a ton of wildlife, but we still got to see a group of adorable seals (with their pup!), bald eagles, and of course plenty of lobsters and Jonah crabs. The highlight was definitely the lobster — unbelievably fresh, steamed to perfection, and the definition of sea-to-table deliciousness. It’s absolutely worth the drive to this charming harbor for an authentic Maine experience.
Had such a great afternoon on this tour today with Dan and his daughter. I learned so much about lobsters even though I grew up in a lobster-loving town in Massachusetts!! They hauled up the traps and we got to band them if we wanted and we got to hold a 10 lb plus lobster that was thrown back! The whole experience was wonderful and the boat ride was very smooth. When we returned to the dock we had a delicious lobster dinner with corn and rolls! Freshest lobster I ever ate and the set up they have is very clean and comfortable. It could not have been a better experience!!! Also, our two dogs were allowed to come on board. They did not love getting on and off the boat but enjoyed the ride!!
This was absolutely wonderful! We’ve been vacationing in Maine in the summer for years and this was by far one of the best experiences we’ve ever done. Captain Dan and his daughter are both true lobsterman by trade and are very knowledgeable, teaching us all about it as we cruised. We even saw seals and got close to lots of islands. My 11 year old daughter and I put the rubber bands on the claws of the lobsters they pulled up which was very cool. After the one hour ride they steamed the lobsters and we ate them on picnic tables near the dock. There was a food truck with lots of other yummy food too. The ride was smooth and comfortable. Best lobster I’ve ever had.
