The picturesque Maroochy River is one of the Sunshine Coast’s premier recreation areas, with scenic spots perfect for observing its unique ecosystem. The river is navigable up to Dunethin Rock picnic area, approximately 20 km from the river mouth, allowing plenty of space to explore. No boat license is required, and all boats and kayaks are pet friendly. The triple canoes provided are very stable, hold up to three people, and have plenty of room for extra equipment, making them ideal for both beginners and experienced paddlers.
