Q Station offers a rich blend of history, nature, and interactive experiences, making it an ideal destination for school holiday groups. The guided tours are designed to cater specifically to the interests of students, providing an engaging way to explore the site’s heritage while learning about its significance in Sydney’s history. After the tour, groups are welcome to stay on-site to enjoy the scenic surroundings and have lunch, making it a flexible and immersive outing. A total visit time of 2 to 4 hours is recommended to fully appreciate everything Q Station has to offer, with a minimum of 20 students required for booking while adult supervisors can attend for free.
Visitors can choose from three unique tour options. The Quarantine Station Unwrapped tour offers a 2-hour hands-on exploration of the site’s history, showing how the station has evolved over time. Nature Detectives provides an interactive environmental experience, encouraging students to spot and identify native flora and fauna while participating in bush crafts inspired by North Head’s ecosystems. The Find and Seek program adds an adventurous twist with a scavenger hunt, where students solve clues and complete challenges, gaining special access to hidden treasures and vintage games within the historic buildings. Each option combines learning, exploration, and fun, creating a memorable and educational outing for school groups.
