An absolutely amazing stay! A beautiful experience sleeping in the middle of the jungle while still being so close to Sigiriya and Lion’s Rock. As soon as we arrived, a wild monkey was hanging around our room – a perfect reminder that we were truly surrounded by nature! 😄 The food was delicious, authentic, and full of local flavors. The staff were incredibly kind, helpful, and always smiling. They also offer many activities, including safaris — we joined one and saw an incredible number of elephants roaming freely in the wild. A peaceful, unique, and unforgettable experience that we 100% recommend!

We spent three nights in a treehouse at Back of Beyond and it was truly unforgettable. The place is beautifully cared for and clean, with an atmosphere that feels both peaceful and deeply connected to nature. The staff are incredibly kind and genuinely go out of their way to make your stay special. With their knowledge and local connections, they’re always ready to give the right tips or offer help whenever you need it. The location is perfect – surrounded by nature yet just a short tuk tuk ride from town. We loved the eco-friendly approach and the way they care about the environment, which made our stay feel even more meaningful. If you’re looking for the ultimate place to relax, unwind, and reconnect with nature, this is it. We left completely recharged and satisfied. A very big thank you to Thusitha for arranging so much for us, and also to Wasanth for the care during our stay. You both made our time at Back of Beyond truly special.
Back of Beyond is a little piece of heaven. The staff is absolutely wonderful (among them the naturalist Induwara, who is not only incredibly nice, but also clearly very knowledgeable and passionate about nature). The treehouse is very well equipped, and it offers the most unique experience: a full immersion in the jungle. Bonus: the food was delicious. We really appreciated the way everything is organized around respecting the environment at Back of Beyond, and we loved all the proposed activities, such as loris spotting and safari, where we had fun and learned a lot. Very, very highly recommend!
Very special place in the middle of the jungle, we loved it !! You hear birds and wildlife, and feel so grateful to sneak in their home. We had a cabane, the tree house looked amazing as well !! Next time 😜
