I booked last minute and could still join a beginners wheel throwing course on the same day. Valeria was the perfect teacher and the 1,5 hours went like the blink of the eye. It was really fun and amazing that we learned to through a bowl in such short period of time. Strong recommendation!

Activité très agréable dans un endroit très cool.

We had such a great time at Studio Mud! We did the Sit and Paint and loved it!! We just texted Alessandro and could come the next day. Then we got a brief introduction how to use the colors. We felt very welcome!

Couldn’t recommend Studio Mud more. 10/10 recommend this incredible ceramics studio more. I came to Palermo for this. To learn wheel throwing with the owner and master ceramicist Alessandro. I spent 5 days learning techniques with him 1:1, two hours a day — took the afternoons for a lazy lunch and exploring the city and sights — and back to the studio for coworking and practice. The studio is bright and beautiful and welcoming. Have a coffee, a Nutella biscuit, put on your apron, and get to playing. Highly recommend taking 1:1 courses or workshops here (or both!). Whether you’re on holiday or you live here. Whether you’re a beginner or expert, you will learn something new and feel right at home. Bravo bravo bravo for this beautiful space you’ve created. Thank you so much Alessandro and team 🤍

Thanks to Alessandro, we had a wonderful experience creating our first pottery pieces. His teaching style is both highly skilled and incredibly supportive, making the entire process enjoyable and accessible. We’re truly grateful to have met him, not only for his guidance but for the inspiring atmosphere he creates. It’s clear that he genuinely loves what he does and that passion shines through in every part of the workshop. A truly special place led by a truly special person.

Studio Mud is a wonderful and unique place for tourists like me to experience the art of pottery—feeling, playing, and molding clay on a pottery wheel. Alessandro, our instructor, was excellent. He carefully explained each step while maintaining a playful and engaging approach to learning. I never worried about making a big mistake because I knew he would be there to guide and correct me. It was a fantastic experience that not only allowed me to try something new but also reconnected me with the tactile, artful use of my hands in a non-digital way—grounding me back to the earth.
