I would recommend this company. We received communication an hour before arrival, and drivers were on time. Vehicles were clean and very comfortable. We travelled from Royal Caribbean in Galveston to George Bush Intercontinental Airport.
Our private transfer with Galveston Shuttle was a terrific way to travel from our cruise to IAH airport. Everything about the transfer was terrific, exceeding expectations. Communication was strong throughout and our driver arrived a bit before our scheduled time. The vehicle was very high quality and clean. Even when the chaos of Royal Caribbean's disembark process caused us to be a bit late, the driver was very nearby and quickly provided a peaceful and comfortable trip to the airport. We are active Uber and Lyft users, but we'd hesitate to do that after the cruise. The scene is chaotic with countless passengers seeking transport and surge pricing high. In that context, the price of Galveston Shuttle is well worth it.
This was the first time we have used Galveston Shuttle. I must admit, I was a little skeptical after reading the reviews, but I must admit, I was impressed from the very beginning, including their quick responses to my numerous emails. We took a 10 day cruise from the Port in Galveston. When we returned to the port, I called to reconfirm our ride and was answered with the driver’s name and his approximate ETA. We were scheduled to be picked up at 10:05am. We were previously told he could arrive 15 minutes before or after this time. Around 9:40, Gerald, our driver, called and told us that he would be arriving in 10 minutes and the vehicle he was using. Once he arrived, he picked up my family of 9 and 2 other families (party of 2 and 3.). There was enough room for all of us and our luggage fit in the back. He took one family to Hobby Airport in Houston before dropping us off, which was only 30 minutes away. Gerald was very pleasant and we felt safe with him driving. My only complaint is small, and it’s more of a suggestion. We had a toddler and an infant and had to carry two large car seats with us. If the company would have had car seats, which they said they had before Covid happened, we would not have had to haul these things around and we would’ve used the shuttle service to go from the airport to the terminal, instead of just using them one-way. With all of this being said, I will definitely use this company again and HIGHLY RECOMMEND them to anyone!
I DO NOT recommend this shuttle. The driver was really nice though, except for while waiting for other passengers he got out to smoke his cigarette and left the door open. I have asthma and definitely don't want to inhale smoke. For the first hour of our trip we had heat coming out of the vents instead of cold air. So, instead of him enjoying his cigarette, he should have been trying to find the cold air button.....which he did when other passengers complained. Takes way too long to get to your destination. Too many stops picking up people and waiting for them to board. We had a 12:30 pick up time from IAH and by the time we got to our hotel it was 2 1/2 hours later. It's worth paying a little more to get where you're going faster.
Having used Galveston Limo for four times already, I have nothing but praise for the kind and professional customer service representatives, their constant communication keeping me updated on my pickup, and the high caliber and cleanliness of the vehicles. Three of the four occasions we were picked up by our driver, "Fast Eddie." Eddie is wonderful! Galveston Limo is what I'll always utilize. Sharon Robinson
