Navin was a really knowledgable and friendly guy. We booked a tour with him in the afternoon and he explained everything, answered all our questions and even made a little stop with us to buy some local food with his recommendation. Besides the sea of information he had, he was also very nice to talk to about other stuff. Felt very comfortable. He picked us up at our hotel which was very nice. At the end he offered to take us to either our hotel or a restaurant he recommended. Thank you for the tour Navin, we enjoyed it very much!
We booked the Anuradhapura city tour with Navin and had the best time! He is a very passionate and enthusiastic tour guide who speaks English very well. He showed us around the holy area and archeological area and taught us about Sri Lanka as a country and Buddhism in a very fun and interactive way. We recently had the pleasure of taking a walking/tuk tuk tour through the magnificent heritage sites of Anuradhapura. Our itinerary focused on some of the city's most significant sites, including the revered Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi, the grand Ruwanweli Maha Seya, and concluding the journey at the peaceful Vessagiriya Archaeological Site. We were running short of time and decided not to go to the UNESCO sites that Navin usually includes in his tour. I am sure that would really complete the picture. The entire experience was elevated by our guide, Navin. Navin is exceptionally knowledgeable, speaking with clarity and enthusiasm that made the history of Anuradhapura come alive. It was immediately clear that he possesses a deep passion for his subject. We learned extensively about the history of the ancient city, as well as gaining valuable insight into the different paths and philosophies within Buddhism. Navin’s ability to combine detailed historical facts with spiritual context ensured that every step of the tour was enriching. Really great guide! Navin is funny, very kind, very knowledgeable, flexible, probably the best guide we will have on our holiday. He explains really well about culture, economy, history, buddhism, and everything you ask. He knows a lot of dutch. Driving the tuktuk is so much fun. My son could even drive a small distance. Navin also shares lots of recommendations for the rest of your journey in Sri Lanka. Highly recommended!
