Festive Neighborhood Lights Tour Offers Scenic Holiday Experience

An hour-and-a-half guided tour takes visitors through an exclusive, elaborately decorated neighborhood known for its spectacular seasonal light displays. The carefully planned route focuses entirely on scenic viewing and photography stops, allowing guests to fully enjoy the festive atmosphere along the way.

The experience is designed to be family-friendly and suitable for all ages, with no bar stops or bathroom breaks included during the tour. Guests are welcome to bring their own beverages in plastic containers or cans, while seasonal favorites such as hot chocolate and cookies add to the holiday spirit.

For individual travelers, a 7:30pm “per seat” option is available at $75 per person. Bookings of fewer than eight seats may be subject to refund at the operator’s discretion. Weekend tours on Fridays and Saturdays are priced higher due to increased traffic in the area, which can limit viewing time.

Guests are advised that parking is extremely limited during the season and towing is strictly enforced. To ensure a smooth experience, ride-share transport is recommended, and arrival at least 15 minutes early is strongly encouraged, as tours depart on time and cannot wait for late arrivals.

Visited on a weekday evening during the holiday lights. The lights start from November mid week until Dec31. Expect a lot of wait time (40-50mins) in the area. In 2024 only few streets are grand compared to previous years. Stroller recommended if planning for walk. No parking spaces within neighborhood and is being patrolled/towed if parked infront of residence.Takes 2.5hrs for all streets. Have a good visit

The River Oaks Neighborhood Christmas decorations are an absolute spectacle and the perfect way to close out the holiday season in style. Known for its stunning homes and manicured lawns, River Oaks transforms into a dazzling winter wonderland every December, and it never disappoints! The streets are lined with twinkling lights, grand displays, and elegantly decorated trees that evoke the magic of Christmas. Each home seems to compete for the most breathtaking design, with themes ranging from classic white lights to whimsical, colorful creations that will leave you in awe. For a romantic date night, drive through the neighborhood or, even better, take a leisurely stroll to fully immerse yourself in the holiday spirit. Bring a hot cocoa to sip on while you marvel at the glowing arches, reindeer sculptures, and nativity scenes. The ambiance is simply enchanting and sets the perfect mood for a memorable evening with your loved one. It’s a peaceful, festive escape that captures the joy and beauty of the season. Whether you’re a local or visiting Houston, make this a must-see—it’s the ultimate way to end the year with holiday cheer!

River Oaks Christmas lights were amazing I work at the Tradition Buffalo Speedway Senior living facility as the Social Activity Assistant and we toured with a busload of our Senior residence and they were knocked off their feet and how beautiful the decorations was. I can't wait to go back to take my family. That you #RiverOaksCommunity
