Our stay would’ve been perfect if it wasn’t for a member of staff at the front desk, I think her name was Elena or close to that. The way she spoke to me when collecting my luggage from their storage was beyond rude, unpleasant and not at all accommodating, which is a massive shame as all other members of staff were lovely, sad to say but she has let the rest of you lot down. Special mention to Anathalie who was extremely helpful during our stay, she helped us with all our questions and was just absolutely pleasant in general.
Natalie booked us in with some confusion about which bed we had booked. Natalie had a double bed booked. I showed her my booking which stated a twin room. She mentioned passing this on to another department for the discrepancy. Room was small but had everything needed. WiFi was striong but we couldn't cast to the TV for some reason and we tried on three phones. We made a mistake of having a late breakfast as we had travelled 9hrs from Plymouth the previous day. We finally found bench seats in reception. Unfortunately the the bacon was very low as was the mixed fruit which had remnants of juice in the bowl. I did return but it was the same. Overall a nice stay made more enjoyable by Natalie when we had drinks in reception area that night.
Lovely rooms and the service is definitely top quality. The hotel is in such a central location and easy access to all sides of Edingburgh. The only thing I would say is that the mattress is really bad. Been to many hotels ranging from 2 stars and upwards and this was the worst. I would suggest not putting a couple with an adjoining door to a next door room that has kids. I thought having booked the hotel 9 months in advance we would've had a bit of a better room. We got a room with a view of the street to the car park and the room definitely was for people who have a disability
Comfy room and very well located, but the best part is the hotel staff. Major shout-out to Adam, Irina, and Danilo — they made the stay even better and enhanced the experience in town. Good breakfast and easy access to the main attractions.
I recently stayed at this hotel and was very pleased with my experience. The room was spacious, clean, and well-equipped. The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was modern and well-maintained. What really makes this hotel stand out is its central location, you’re just a few minutes’ walk from all the main attractions, restaurants, and shops. The staff were friendly and helpful, which made the stay even more enjoyable. Definitely recommended for anyone wanting to explore Edinburgh comfortably.
