Excellent Tour inside the belly of mother earth.. awesome calcium deposits and beautiful structures created by nature untouched by human.. the path was safe and the tour was very insightful and informative. I recommend it if you are nearby and want to see something completely different!!

Visiting Grotte di Castellana was breathtaking! We were lucky to join the 11:00 AM English tour with only five people, making it feel like a private, exclusive experience. Seeing the caves in person is truly awe-inspiring. The walk down is incredible, and the convenient elevator ride up was perfect.

I honestly can’t find the right words to describe how beautiful this place is—it’s absolutely mesmerizing. I’ll let this photo speak for itself so you can imagine just how incredible the experience can be. What you’re seeing in the picture isn’t a flower; it’s pure white stone in its natural form. Important information: 1. Try to wear good trekking shoes, as there are ups and downs and some wet, slippery floors. 2. There are two tour options available: 50 minutes and 100 minutes. We chose the longer one, and it was quite manageable—not too difficult. 3. A guide will always accompany you. You can choose a tour in either English or Italian. 4. The 100-minute tour costs 20 euros per person. 5. The caves go as deep as 70 meters underground, so the visit is not recommended for pregnant women or people with severe breathing or heart problems. 6. The city Castellana is well connected with train and bus. Still the frequency of buses and trains specially after 6 PM are limited. Look for the availability before visiting.
