5 star experience! The staffs are so attentive to details, special thanks to the super cruise manager Chris, and our favorite Cara. They've been so accommodating with us. We got very tasty vegetarian food upon request, they even served us vegetarian Indian food. The hygiene and cleanliness on the cruise is impressive. This cruise does define VALUE FOR MONEY! Wow, White Lotus on Ha Long Bay and we all came home..:) beautiful heritage boat, built 2019 so everything is neat, tidy and functional, beautiful art hangings around boat so great ambience. Cabins very clean, comfortable and great bathrooms. Staff are young, enthusiastic and professional and always looking out to make sure all guests are well looked after and enjoy special holiday. Lots of fresh tasty food, plenty of variety, good selection of wines. Daily activities well organised and fun outings to explore other parts of Ha Long Bay. My partner and I celebrated 24yr anniversary and 50th birthday on 4 day/3night and the staff went above and beyond with making both celebrations extra special and memorable. Special call out to Chris, Ashley, Sam, James, Jay, Jack, Anthony, Ethan and Chef...not forgetting all the invisible staff behind the scenes..:))

I joined the Heritage Cruise from 5 to 7 August 2025, expecting a relaxing five-star boutique experience. When I disembarked, my Louis Vuitton Keepall 55 was returned to me completely soaked — both exterior and interior. The water had seeped deep into the leather and lining. Inside were my Dyson hair dryer and GHD straightener, both wet as well. When I reported it immediately to the staff, the Cruise Manager on board raised his voice and told me to “calm down.” There was no apology or empathy — just a defensive attitude that completely ruined what should have been a peaceful and enjoyable cruise experience. Later, the Director of Sales emailed me, describing the situation as “just humid.” This response, instead of taking responsibility, only made the experience more disappointing. Weeks later, after a follow-up from another hotel’s General Manager on my behalf, the company finally acknowledged the issue. The bag still has permanent stains despite careful cleaning, and its sentimental value cannot be replaced. When we pay this kind of money for a “luxury” cruise, what we expect is care, accountability, and a sense of safety — not stress and silence. It’s not about the money — it’s about how the company handled this entire incident with such indifference and lack of respect. I truly hope this review helps future travelers understand that true luxury is not about appearance — it’s about responsibility when something goes wrong.
