Begin your journey to Hue with a scenic drive along the northern coast of Da Nang, stopping atop the legendary Hai Van Pass to explore remnants of old war bunkers and enjoy panoramic views of the coastline. Upon arrival in Hue, the former imperial capital, we will visit the grand Citadel—an architectural masterpiece built between 1804 and 1833 during the Nguyen Dynasty, Vietnam’s last feudal era. Enclosed by mighty ramparts and a peaceful moat, the Citadel houses the Imperial City, the Forbidden Purple City, and the Emperor’s Private Residence. As you wander through its historic gates, temples, and pavilions, you’ll step back in time to experience the splendor and heritage of Vietnam’s royal past, surrounded by serene gardens and intricate architecture.

After a relaxing lunch break, we will embark on a tranquil boat trip along the Perfume River, where gentle breezes and scenic landscapes create a peaceful atmosphere. Our journey includes a stop at Thien Mu Pagoda, an active Buddhist monastery dating back to 1601, known for its seven-tiered tower and poignant historical relics, including the car of the monk who self-immolated in 1963 in protest against oppression. The tour concludes with a visit to the magnificent Khai Dinh Royal Tomb, a striking blend of traditional Vietnamese and European architecture nestled amid lush hills and built with careful attention to feng shui harmony.
