La Cantina di Zio was an absolute highlight of our recent visit to Bari. The food was excellent, but what really stood out was the service. It genuinely felt like having dinner with family. Anna was an amazing host. We were welcomed with complimentary olives, little taralli and bruschetta, and finished with limoncello, which was such a wonderful and delicious touch. Every dish we ordered was outstanding: orecchiette, gnocchi, pizza and risotto, all full of flavour and clearly made with care. They also managed to fit all 7 of us in at short notice, which we really appreciated. And a special mention for the espresso which was easily the best we’d had in Italy so far. Warm, generous, and memorable.

We came to La Cantina dello Zio on recommendation, and it fully lived up to it. The restaurant is located in the center of Bari, has a warm and pleasant atmosphere, and is almost always full, its a great sign. The staff is extremely friendly, fast, and efficient. A special mention goes to the mother and son from our region, with whom we had great communication and instantly felt welcome. The food is domestic, rich in flavor, juicy, and simply fantastic. Combined with the lively and authentic atmosphere, this is exactly the kind of place you want to return to. Highly recommended!

Everything was amazing about this place, the food, the staff, the atmosphere, everything. I definitely recommend any pizza which has a really good dough, and the tiramisu, which you have to try. The waiter was fun and friendly even though he seemed tired. They recognised us and they gave us complementary bruschettas and limoncello shots. Overall I definitely recommend this place to have a nice dinner with your friends or family (or by yourself, no judging, haha)

We had a wonderful experience here. The food was absolutely exceptional — fresh, flavorful, and truly delicious. The service was very attentive, and the staff were incredibly warm and welcoming. They treated us with so much kindness, which made the whole experience even more special. As a lovely gesture, we were even offered a shot of limoncello from the house at the end. We would definitely come back and highly recommend this place.

In Old Town Bari We stumbled upon this place as we explored Old Town Bari. The tables outside were full, the plates looked excellent - and everyone was happy... So we took a table for two inside. A tiny little table, with grand aspirations! Service with a smile was provided by the entire crew...they all moved so quickly, with such purpose, my first thought was that they were the owners - you know that energy that I mean - attention to detail, friendly smiles, and immediately filled empty glasses. Oh, wait - they were never empty! Our order was taken quickly, bruschetta brought to the table (we didn't order, it was automatic), olives... The menu is pretty extensive (and very affordable) - but we were in Bari so had to have the orecchiette - I had it with frutti di mare (clams, mussels, shrimp and a fabulous red sauce), my wife had it with turnip tops...the juxtaposition of earth and sea was pretty amazing. I am not typically a huge pasta guy... but... There was not a piece left on my plate. Perhaps one of the simplest, but best, meals I have ever had. Grazie Zio for such a wonderful meal and a great experience! Magnifico chef! To the Owner - your employees show incredible love for what they do!
