We did the walking tour of Bari with the pasta experience and we LOVED every minute of it! Our guide for the walking tour was Barbara. She was informative, funny and a joy to spend the afternoon with! Barbara handed us off to Dortea who led us to Merica’s kitchen where we learned to make Orecchiette pasta! We had a delicious lunch and had a blast!
We had a wonderful tour with Barbara exploring historic Bari. She was funny, personable, and engaged with us the whole time. We learned so much and got to taste, “the best focaccia” in all of Historic Bari!
We had a tour of Bari with a rickshaw, this was the perfect way for elderly or disabled people to explore Bari in an easier way. Our guide Christiano was very knowledgeable and shared plenty of information about the different areas we visited. Would recommend to those with difficulty walking long distances.

Our walking food tour in Bari, Italy was an absolute highlight of our trip, thanks to our fabulous guide, Chiara. From the moment we met her, she brought so much energy and warmth to the group, making us feel instantly welcome. Her passion for her hometown was contagious, and it showed in every story she told about Bari’s rich history, vibrant culture, and culinary traditions. She struck the perfect balance between fun and informative, sharing fascinating facts while keeping the mood light and engaging. As we wandered through Bari’s charming old town, Chiara led us through narrow cobblestone streets filled with character and life. We explored the stunning Cathedral of San Sabino and the famous Basilica di San Nicola, learning about their history and significance to the local people. Chiara’s storytelling truly brought these landmarks to life — it felt like we were walking through living history rather than just sightseeing. One of the most memorable moments was watching local women make orecchiette pasta by hand right on the street. Chiara explained the tradition behind it and introduced us to some of the women, who were as delightful as the pasta itself! The food stops along the way were equally wonderful — we savored pasta all’assassina, crispy panzerotti, and finished with creamy gelato, each dish showcasing a different side of Bari’s culinary heritage. By the end of the tour, we not only felt full from all the incredible food but also deeply connected to the city and its people. Chiara’s enthusiasm, knowledge, and charm made the experience unforgettable. We can’t recommend this tour enough — it’s the perfect blend of history, culture, and delicious food, all guided by someone who truly loves Bari and knows how to share that love with others.
The tour was changed from a bike tour to a walking city tour the day before – a bit disappointing in the heat, as it would have been more pleasant by bike. However, Dorotea was a great tour guide: very friendly, enthusiastic and informative!
Very good, our guide Federica was perfect. The only downside was that we had booked in French and received an SMS 1 hour after ordering to tell us that it would be in English (with the possibility of an audio guide). Everything went very well. The ladies who make the pasta are also very welcoming.
The tour guide was fabulous and so knowledgeable.
The tour was generally good. The pasta making was very nice even though the wine was terrible. What could be improved is the safety for the cycling. My daughter nearly got run over by a car since the guide does not stop at red lights or cross roads. I fully appreciate the cultural differences but I feel this should be adapted to the age of participants.
Our guide Frederica really made the tour complete. We cycled through Bari, and she enthusiastically talked about everything we saw. Making the pasta ourselves really made the tour complete, even though we thought it could have gone on a bit longer
