The Beginner Block Course at Skatehalle Berlin is designed for those taking their very first steps into the world of skateboarding. Across four consecutive Saturdays, participants will be guided by skilled instructors who make learning safe, fun, and full of energy. Whether you’re completely new or one of the younger riders, this course ensures you learn the essential basics—balance, coordination, and board control—while building confidence on the board. Each session creates a friendly and motivating environment where everyone progresses at their own pace. Accompanying persons can relax in the SHB Café or the Skate Yard, although staying inside the hall is not permitted. Skateboards, helmets, and pads are available for rent on-site, making participation simple and accessible.
As the capital’s only covered skatepark, Skatehalle Berlin provides the skating community with a unique home open 363 days a year. Its 1,200 m² street area, expansive park, and outdoor zone with a covered mini ramp offer something for every skater. Visitors can enjoy the on-site café, outdoor bar, cinema, and skate shop, which add to the welcoming atmosphere. Beyond skating, Skatehalle Berlin hosts a variety of cultural and youth projects, including art and language programs for refugees, promoting creativity, community, and inclusivity. Please note that there is no parking available on the premises.
