It was an early morning after a long night, but what a great time. All were super friendly and professional from the time we were picked up until we were dropped off. The crew was experienced and made sure we had a good time/made some great catches…two mahi, two barracuda, and then caught a good sized wahoo. Thanks for the experience, I highly recommend!
Had a great experience with Gone fishing! Planned the trip about 2 weeks ahead of time, very communicative. Planned for Wednesday and on Sunday Jack emailed telling us that the waves would be too big for our day and if we can reschedule, was able to reschedule and got everything set up, crew picked us up from our resort. Crew was very friendly and nice, we were a group of 5 and we were all able to get hooked on a nice mahi mahi in our 5 hour trip. After the trip the filleted and froze our fish, then delivered them to us a few days later when we were set to leave and was great. Would definitely recommend!
We had an absolutely amazing time today aboard Jack’s fishing boat! From the moment we stepped on, Captain Jay Jay and Hector made us feel welcome and taken care of. These guys were fantastic hosts—professional, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable. Despite the heat, we powered through and were rewarded with three beautiful mahi mahi. The crew’s attention to safety was top-notch, and their advice out on the water was spot on. You can tell they love what they do, and it shows in how they treat their guests. Jay Jay and Hector are true ambassadors for Jack’s company—great guys who deserve serious recognition. If you're thinking about booking a trip, don’t hesitate. This was an unforgettable experience!
5star plus, what an amazing experience! Jack was fantastic we called on our last day in Punta Cana after another tour operator no showed. Jack had us on the water 4 hours later! The crew Tito, Jordan and Lou Lou were absolutely amazing! Captain Tito expertly navigated the waters while Jordan and Lou Lou answered all our questions, made sure we had everything we needed, educated us on the area and the fish, told some stories and made the day so much fun! The swells were 6-8ft, which they told us about, and it was still amazing! My son caught a barracuda and they hooked a white marlin but it got away after a struggle. I got sea sick but they took such good care of me. This was an unforgettable afternoon and if we go back we will definitely book the 8hr day! Thanks for the memories!
Great day on the water with the Gone Fishing Punta Cana team! I messaged on the website just a few days before out trip down to PC and got a reply from the team right away! They answered all my questions and got me set up for a 6-hour private charter for 5 of us. Seas were rough the day we were out, but they did a great job giving us advice ahead of the trip on how to prevent sickness as much as possible and even gave us a chance to cancel at the last minute if we weren’t comfortable with the forecast for the day. We went out in 6 to 8 foot seas and had a blast! Our deckhand and captain were both such genuine and kind people. We worked hard for our catch but managed to out 2 Barracuda and 7 nice Mahi in the boat. We kept the meat from one of our fish and had them cook us a wonderful lunch at the Marina before the yea took us back to our resort. All told it was an excellent day and I would highly recommend this outfit. Book straight with them instead of with your resort. Better deal for everyone!
