We really enjoyed this half-day excursion to see more of the Dominican Republic and how its residents live and farm. With Covid, the one-day tour was reduced to a 1/2 day, but we still learned a ton and had a great time. The guide, Alex, was very knowledgeable about the culture and history of the area. We got to taste and see how chocolate and coffee are processed in-country as well as see more of the beautiful countryside. We also visited a local beach. I'm so glad we did this tour - it was good to get away from the hotel for a day and see more of the DR
Not very interesting, didn't explain or show a lot. They drive you in the open trucks on the highway with continuous fumes in your face for 45 min, wasn't very pleasant especially with a little child having to breath that stuff. I would recommend trying something else.

My husband and I were just on a Country Adventure trip and enjoyed every second! Our guide, Jose, and driver, Pepe, were the best! It was a wonderful day and very educational. We left the hotel and saw what the Dominican Republic is really like, seeing beautiful areas we would probably never have seen otherwise. The Dominicans are very nice and friendly; you are warmly welcomed everywhere.
What a great tour, fun and educational. We visited a typical dominican house where we got some excellent coffee and met the people. The food we had was the best on our entire trip. Larry and Flaco were amazingly entertaining! By some coffee and cacao from their little store at the plantation!!!!
