Matt

Quite an adventure to get to but decent place. Very good rental price. Start out at location or pay a little extra to get run up the river and drop in. The river had a decent current to paddle against

What an experience! I've only been kayaking one other time, but this place was amazing! The only downfall I had was the drive there once we hit Mullins Cove Road. I'm not one that does well on winding curvy roads, and this one wasn't for the faint of heart or stomach. So I wasn't looking forward to a continuation of the road trip to put the kayaks in, but Chuck was super sweet! He even pulled over on the side of the road for me when I wasn't feeling the greatest and slowed down on the remainder of the drive to the drop off point. He was also very knowledgeable of the area and has a great sense of humor! And I had greatly wanted to leave a tip for him when we got back from the trip down the river, but I didn't see him again. I'm so sorry, Chuck (if you see this, but thanks again for your kindness)! As for the trip down the river itself...it was amazing! The water was so calm aside from an occasional boat passing by, and we were able to take our time and just enjoy the day! It was such a great way to get out of the hustle and bustle of the city, connect with nature, and spend time making great memories with friends! I would definitely go back and maybe plan to pack a picnic lunch for the next time. If you're looking for a relaxing day with family or friends and a way to enjoy nature and the peace and quiet it offers, I highly recommend this place!

Place was amazing and Chuck was so accommodating. Forgot to bring ice and he was happy to give us some for our day trip.

We brought our own paddleboards and they were nice enough to let us use their dock so we could get in the river. The owner made sure that we liked dogs and then told us certain things to do so the dogs would do tricks. He was absolutely amazing and we will 100% be back again!

Went to go canoeing and kayaking with my three kids. Chuck was very nice and like others have said has three very nice dogs. Unfortunately it was too hot for us and we only lastest 45 minutes in the heat. But Chuck was accommodating and kind and gave the kids some bubbles to play with and other things. The gorge is beautiful and if I had not had my kids with me I would have thoroughly enjoyed it! The drive there is very long and twists and turns a lot but I enjoyed the adventure!
