Spacious venue with a noticeably large layout. The scale of the space allows comfortable movement even during busier periods, and the flow between installations feels smooth rather than congested. The exhibitions themselves are visually consistent with the broader teamLab style. While the individual installations are polished and immersive, the experiential differences between sections are relatively subtle. Visitors familiar with other teamLab locations may find the artistic themes and interactive elements conceptually similar. Accessibility is a strong advantage. The venue is located very close to the station, making it convenient to integrate into a Kyoto itinerary without requiring extensive travel time. Entry, navigation, and overall logistics are straightforward. Overall, despite the limited variation between exhibits, the combination of scale, presentation quality, and location convenience makes this a worthwhile visit, particularly for those who appreciate digital art environments or are experiencing teamLab for the first time.

Very cool exhibits! I wish there was a sign saying how many exhibits there were at the beginning, as we spent way too much time in the first projection area, not knowing there was multiple for levels for the rest, where we needed to rush through the remaining exhibits. Got there at 5 and left around 7:15pm since we had to spend a bit of time in the lines to get into the various experiential rooms, and still had to rush through and skip some others to make it to our dinner reservation. I'd recommend going earlier in the day if you can to not have to wait in lines inside.

I visited teamLab Kyoto and can honestly say it was a truly impressive light and interactive art experience. At first, I didn’t have very high expectations. I thought it would be interesting, but nothing extraordinary. However, once inside, everything quickly exceeded what I had imagined. The exhibition offers a wide variety of interactive rooms, immersive light installations, and creative experiences that keep you constantly moving and exploring. There was so much to see and interact with that I literally walked until my legs were tired, in the best way possible. Considering the quality and scale of the experience, the ticket price felt very reasonable. I genuinely felt like I got more than my money’s worth. One small note for future visitors: it’s highly recommended to book tickets in advance. The only downside for me was that navigating between rooms can be a bit confusing at times, as the layout isn’t always very intuitive. That said, everything else about the experience was visually stunning and incredibly satisfying. Overall, it was a memorable, eye-opening, and thoroughly enjoyable visit. Highly recommended if you’re looking for an immersive art experience in Kyoto. ✨

Great experience, really interesting variety of installations. Enjoyable for children and adults alike. Loved the interactive installations. Be sure to wear proper footwear because you ring be and to participate in some of the more activity-based installations if you’re wearing heels/platforms/open-toes. I entered at 7:30pm and it closes at 9pm. Would recommend coming in at least for 2hrs as I did miss some stuff.

teamLab Kyoto is an immersive and visually stunning experience. The way the artworks move, react, and surround you makes you feel completely inside the art rather than just observing it. I visited in December, and it turned out to be a great plan to escape the cold and rain, since it’s entirely indoors. The space is very large and easy to explore at your own pace, with each area offering a different atmosphere. The last section is interactive, where you can play, draw, and paint, which adds a fun and creative element to the visit. It’s engaging for all ages and makes the experience even more memorable. I highly recommend buying tickets in advance through the official website, as it helps avoid long lines and guarantees entry. Definitely worth visiting if you’re in Kyoto and looking for something unique, modern, and perfect for bad weather days.
