JP is a really cool guy. We did a hike in Serra Malagueta with him and it was really worth its price - we planned the trip together, then he picked us up with a taxi driver, and we hiked the route, stopping at many places. He taught us many things about all the plants and animals we encountered, introduced us to local farmers to show us how they live in the area, and, for example, how they grow and harvest peanuts. JP picked little paths we would never dare to take by ourselves, and took us for a perfect lunch right in the house of a lady living in the Ribeira valley. The overall experience was great. By the way, I recommend choosing downhill direction of the trip, so that the best views are all the time in front of you, not behind.
We had an incredible experience Fishing the traditional way with JP and the Captain. Also great to meet his lovely wife and their cute dog Socks. We want to recommend anybody who goes to Santiago Island to do this tour. You will never regret this.

We had the pleasure of taking two unforgettable trips with JP, and we highly recommend him! He's a friendly, professional, and accommodating guide who makes sure you feel welcome and at ease. We went on a fishing trip and a hike with JP, and both activities were expertly organized and provided us with lifelong memories. The hike felt too short, as time flew by so quickly because we were moving at a good pace. The fishing trip was an authentic experience we'll never forget. Although I personally didn't catch any fish (maybe it was just me?), everyone else in the group did. We also had the opportunity to snorkel and jump into the water, but unfortunately, the water was too chilly for me personally, so I didn't stay in for long. As a result, I didn't get to see much of the underwater world, which was a shame. Thank you, JP, for your hard work and dedication!
