Whether your dog is new to the water or just needs a little extra practice, the Dog Swim Lesson Experience at SUP Pups is the perfect introduction—interactive, fun, and supportive! Unlike typical indoor dog swim facilities where pups are placed in a small pool alone and owners can only watch, this experience focuses on connection and confidence for both you and your dog. You’ll paddle out together on stable boards into the calm channel of Liberty Station, where our instructors take the time to get your pup comfortable on the board and gradually introduce them to swimming at their own pace.
The experience includes paddle board use and instruction, hands-on guidance from a certified SUP Pups instructor, action photos and videos, and a calm, safe environment for both human and dog. Dog life vests and human waist PFDs are provided if needed, and plenty of praise, treats, and tail wags come standard. Sessions last about an hour and include a land demo followed by paddle time. SUP Pups is located in Liberty Station, Point Loma, San Diego, paddling down a quiet, no-wake channel that ends at a private military dock.

From communication with Gareth to meeting Louise for my Border Collies for Hydrotherapy lessons, is the best decision to go with Sharpwells Canine Hydrotherapy Centre. My Collies first lesson was today (2.11.2025), and in relation to his hip dysplasia, and Louise was and is amazing from entering to leaving. My Collie is usually nervous and apprehensive about anything new, he himself decided to go near the pool and from there Louise took the lead in making sure he felt comfortable in his surroundings. Mind you, it will take a couple of more weeks before my Collie will understand that the hydrotherapy is for his benefit! I feel at ease knowing that he’s with a great trainer. Looking forward to the coming weeks!

Gareth knows his stuff in relation to dogs. He knows how to handle nervous dogs and is so good at his job. My dogs love going swimming with Gareth. Highly recommended him to any dog owners who need to help their dog who might have an injury or needs to lose weight

This guy is just brilliant.. My mums dog, old, never away from my mum, never in water, had a ligment procedure, very slow recovery, until we took him to Gareth. Gareth was extremely full and wasn't planning on taking any new clients, but when we explained how poorly our dog was he took him on his time off. I honestly cannot say enough about Gareth, he's so professional, so kind to the dogs, so patient. No hurrying with him, he gives dog and owner all the time for questions and advice. You can tell he's more then a physio, but also a love for animals and most importantly his work. A service that's above and beyond and I'm sure the dog/dogs picks up on his healing calm approach.
