Had an excellent distillery tour with Dave who was energetic, knowledgeable and shared many interesting facts. I also enjoyed spending time in their bar and had a Holyrood Distillery exclusive flight which had 3 diverse flavourful drams. Finally ended the night with a bottle from their shop. Thank you to Jen for being so lovely, helpful and patient with my browsing. I highly recommend going for a visit 😃🥃
The whole process was extremely well run, from the welcome in reception to the tour. Michaelin, our guide, injected great enthusiasm into explaining the whisky making process and the unique nature of the distillery and its experimentations with different ways to flavour the spirits. The tastings were fun and informative and the post-tour relaxation in the bar most enjoyable!
We booked a whisky tour for the afternoon, and myself not knowing much about whisky found it to be absolutely full of facts and a with a few tasters was a great afternoon! Michaelin our tour guide was brilliant, animated and full of facts and kept us all engaged, a real asset to your company (and no she didnt pay me to say this! 🤣) well deserved praise!! I would definitely recommend a tour here if your visiting Edinburgh even for the day!!
Had a fantastic Gin flight here. Fantastic team explained all about the gins we had on our flight board. Friendly and informative, gin was a smooth juniper forward. Enjoyed trying all of flavours with recommended mixers. So good we left buying a bottle of our favourite.
Had an amazing tour at Holyrood Distillery. My tour guide, Lloyd, was very personable and knowledgeable. I highly recommend checking out Arthur’s Seat and Holyrood Park, and then walking over to the Distillery. They start you off with a taste of their special cocktail, which was delicious. All of the spirits that I tried were really good, and I decided to purchase a few small bottles of their Gin and New Make, and then a large bottle of their peated whiskey, Embra. The distillery is just one more amazing place to check out when visiting Edinburgh.
