6-Session Advanced Basics

Advanced Basics is designed for individuals who already have a solid understanding of hotshop fundamentals, such as gathering, taking heats, making punties, and popping bubbles, and are eager to elevate their glassblowing skills. This class is perfect for fresh Intermediate graduates as well as experienced hotshop regulars who want to refine their hand techniques, improve efficiency, and build confidence in their work. Participants will focus on mastering the setup of their glass to create basic forms, providing a strong foundation that allows for the combination of various shapes and opens the door to more advanced explorations in the dynamic world of hot glass.

Even if you have not taken Intro or Intermediate glassblowing at East Falls but have prior experience, you are welcome to join this session. The instructors are happy to collaborate with you to determine the best approach for your skill level and goals, ensuring you gain the most from your time in the hotshop. The course emphasizes practical skills, creative experimentation, and a deeper understanding of glass behavior, helping each participant push the boundaries of what they can achieve while having fun in a supportive and engaging environment.
