Mermaid Community Meetups Bring Underwater Magic to Catalina Island

Certified mermaids are invited to take part in a unique community gathering that combines skill development, underwater exploration, and creative content creation in one of California’s most celebrated marine environments. Hosted at the renowned Casino Point Dive Park, these meetups provide a welcoming space where participants can practice mermaiding techniques, connect with fellow enthusiasts, and enjoy the beauty of Catalina Island’s underwater world. The protected marine reserve offers excellent visibility, thriving kelp forests, and abundant marine life, creating an inspiring setting for every session.

The structured in-water experience is designed for mermaids of varying skill levels and encourages both personal growth and community engagement. Participants can refine swimming techniques, experiment with underwater poses, and capture stunning photos and videos while exploring the park’s vibrant marine habitat. Easy staircase access to the water and the calm conditions of the protected reserve help create a safe and enjoyable environment for learning and exploration.

Following the water session, attendees gather to rinse and organize their gear while reviewing photos and videos captured throughout the experience. The social atmosphere continues with a relaxing wind-down featuring hot chocolate and cookies, allowing participants to exchange tips, share stories, and celebrate memorable moments from the day. These post-dive gatherings help strengthen connections within the mermaid community and create lasting friendships among participants.

All images and videos captured during the meetup are made available through a shared gallery, allowing attendees to download and share their favorite content. Media from the event may also be used for promotional and social media purposes, helping showcase the creativity and spirit of the mermaiding community. My daughter had an experience of a lifetime, meeting a mermaid for her 5th birthday. The girls were so mesmerized for the first 15min, not much entertainment was required :) But of course there was more! The girls enjoyed the karaoke stage singing their little hearts out, games and dancing with a splash or too from the naughty mermaid. It was great fun, I don't know how we will top this party for next year. Thank you Lynn, you did not disappoint.

We recently celebrated my daughter's 7th birthday at MerMazing, and it was absolutely magical! The highlight was the real mermaid swimming in the water – the kids were amazed about it. Everything was beautifully organized, the atmosphere was enchanting, and Lynn were incredibly friendly and helpful. It was a truly unforgettable experience for my daughter and all her friends. Highly recommended for a unique and memorable celebration!

We hired place as a party for our 5year old and it was amazing. Kids had so much fun, there was loads of dancing, singing and splashing 😁😊. Lynn and mermaid were brilliant with the kids and even the parents had great time, would recommend 💯
