My family of 4 just did the Snorkel Tour on the Snorkel Cat and I could not wait to get back in our rooms to rave about our experience ! If you are looking for a day adventure while on St. Thomas , this Captain and Team know all the ins and outs and where best to take you to make the best of your excursion ! We saw several turtles & sea life in the most pristine areas. But seriously as if that wasn’t enough the food and beverages that came with the price was so worth it . Like my kids think we’re millionaires or won the lotto now because it all felt so top notch :) Thanks Captain Tuna, Captain Sean and Kennedy for making us look so cool in our kids eyes! We hope to be back and bring on more family
My mother and I went on the Snorkel Cat on June 3, 2025. We were in St. Thomas as a stop on a cruise, and this tour was one of the ones recommended through Vacations To Go. While it was a bit of a jaunt to get to the Margaritaville Hotel from the cruise port, we were pleasantly surprised when we arrived how beautiful the location was. When we arrived we were greeted by a lady working in the Dive Shop, who gave us instructions on what to do to check in for the tour. Shortly after, our captain "Big Tuna" arrived to begin checking all the groups in. From beginning to end, the crew was so friendly, knowledgeable, and cared that we had a great (and safe) experience. They provided an excellent light breakfast and lunch, and it was clear that the crew put a great amount of care into preparing the food for us. The weather was fantastic and Big Tuna provided commentary on the islands and scenery we were passing as we headed to our snorkel locations. They played fun music as we sailed, and the crew members were constantly coming around to ask whether we needed anything to drink. The actual snorkeling was great. We were provided comprehensive instructions and a safety demonstration before we were allowed to go in the water. Our first location was a bit wavy due to the wind, but we were given safety tips and had a successful stop, seeing lots of colorful fish amongst the reefs. The second stop was incredible, the water was calm and clear, and we were able to see turtles grazing on turtle grass and some rays. On the sail back, Big Tuna took us around some of the other islands, giving us some history as well as sharing his personal experiences growing up in the area. We felt like we actually got to see a lot of St. Thomas in addition to snorkeling. I would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone who is looking for a smaller group tour that is intimate and has a crew that cares about their guests' experience. I wouldn't hesitate to go again if I was in the area!
We had nothing but an amazing time on our charter! The staff were informative of the surrounding islands, history and the best places to look for different marine animals when at our stops. They were also very attentive to the guests on board throughout the charter. We did the 9AM-3PM charter and it was enough time to see several turtles, sting rays, squid and an abundance of fish. We would recommend this charter to anyone interested. Be sure to bring a GoPro!
I had a fantastic time on this snorkel charter! The captain and crew were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, making the whole experience feel safe and fun. We visited several beautiful spots and saw tons of vibrant fish and coral. The food was light but refreshing—perfect for a day on the water—and the drinks hit the spot. The boat gets full but doesn’t feel crowded. Highly recommend this trip to anyone looking for a relaxing and scenic snorkeling adventure!
Had a AWESOME time on the water, we visited 3 different places and each one was great, came with a story about the Islands and the history of them. Food and drinks were really nice, the services provided were A1. If you haven't given snorkeling a try yet and you're in the area,I would highly recommend giving New horizons a go.
