Easy 5* Before I go on, this isn't a boat pond in Orlando. No air-conditioned bus will pick you up. Nobody will do your paddling. Excellent experience. We had...2? 3? hours of a 'yakking tour. I suppose Antonio Taylor's it to the number of people and experience level. It was kayaking like kayaking is supposed to be - a w9rkout with spectacular views, and thanks to Antonio's knowledge, full of cool information. This guy spices up the experience by being a kayaker and a passionate supporter of the preserve. Thanks to people like him, huge motorboats are not trashing this pristine sanctuary. Value? If jumping into a cenote costs 25-30 bucks, than the $100+ i paid for this amazing trip was definitely worth it. Do it. K

Lovely sunset kayak in an intimate group with a very knowledgeable guide! We saw beautiful birds and learnt a lot about the biodiversity of the reserve and Mexico. A lovely trip and as a solo traveller I felt well taken care of throughout our tour - thank you!

The best experience of my trip! We were warmly welcomed by Antonio, our guide. He took us to explore the lagoon and explained a lot about the local wildlife and plants. We were able to observe many birds, and even a small crocodile! Since there were only a few of us, we really took our time and enjoyed the stunning landscapes, especially during sunset. Organizing the tour was super easy I contacted him via WhatsApp, and he gave us all the necessary information to enter the reserve. He also shared contacts for bike or scooter rentals to get there. If you’re looking to explore in a more responsible and sustainable way, I highly recommend this experience. It’s a much better way to discover the lagoon than motorboat tours, which probably aren’t great for the ecosystem.

What an experience!!! I recommend it to anyone visiting Tulum. It’s a journey into the most intimate part of what Tulum has to offer… where life begins. I can’t remember the last time I saw so much wildlife in one place and doing it by kayak was definitely the best way to go. Thank you, Antonio, for sharing your passion and knowledge about this piece of heaven.

We stayed in Akumal for a week, which was lovely, and on our last day did a sunset kayak tour in the Sian Ka’an reserve. This was probably the highlight of our trip. Kayaking through the mangroves was an amazing immersive experience, and seeing all of the beautiful birds in their natural habitat was spectacular. We saw herons, pelicans, Roseate spoonbills, cormorants, ospreys, other sea birds, heard the hoot of an owl coming from a mangrove bush, and we kayaked past a young crocodile resting at the edge of a mangrove. All of that, followed by a stunning sunset. We want to go back and hope to venture even further into the mangroves the next time.
