Highly recommend. The 2D1N cruise was just enough time to experience the majestic Bai Tu Long / Ha Long Bay. Our tour guide Kenny G was fantastic. Very knowledgeable, funny and the service was phenomenal. The staff went out of their way to accommodate every request and the captain did a great job steering us through the bay and the chef's food was absolutely incredible (even though I requested quite limiting accommodations) Just be aware this is a structured program and it has a group atmosphere (no private dining - however if you ask, I'm sure they would separate a table from touching the others) At least for the 2D1N cruise, whilst there is some time do to your own thing, (including the option to book spa services and the happy hour after the cooking demonstration) it is definitely a tour cruise rather than a traditional luxury cruise. I actually preferred this, as it was like having luxury and seeing the sights in the perfect balance, but this is what a lot of the negative review have noted. There is also always the option of staying onboard the main boat. Visiting the fishing village of Vung Vieng was a highlight of the cruise. The whole experience was truly like a 5 star dining and resort. Do not miss on your next visit to Vietnam.
I am more of a traveler than a vacationer but I decided to take a 2 day 1 night cruise with this group and I loved it! It was really clean and luxurious. The sights were breath taking! Our tour guide was Kenny and he was absolutely amazing! He speaks 4 different languages and is very knowledgeable about the culture and geography of the area. The food was absolutely wonderful as well. Phoung the head chef did amazing on the dishes and I ate every last bit! I definitely would recommend it to my friends and family to come here 😊
We had the most amazing 3D2N at Halong Bay onboard Dragon Legend 2! The crew, the tour guide and everyone onboard took such great care of us! We were vegetarians and the chefs made such great plant based food that were so yummylicious! From spring roll to pho, we were stuffed! The cabin crew led by Tu, were such lovely caretakers! They ensured all of us were well taken care for! The kayaking experience and the exclusive bbq on the beach were amazing! Fully immersed in the nature and enjoyed the tranquility! Love the guide tour Bay, who ensured that all of us enjoyed the activities! The cruise was beyond amazing! We could enjoy such great sunset view while relaxing in the bathtub! Highly recommended for anyone looking for a good time in Halong Bay!
My mom and I did the 2 night / 3 day tour in mid-October this year. We had a wonderful tour, we loved every minute of it, and we’re already planning to come back and do it again! It is definitely worth spending the second night. I had a hard time leaving after 2 nights, and I would have been completely devastated to have to leave after only one night. The boat itself is luxurious. I have never stayed anywhere this luxurious on land, so for it to be this comfortable and posh ON THE WATER is truly special. The rooms have comfortable beds, a couch, a private bathroom (including shower and bathtub). The boat itself has indoor and outdoor dining areas, a pool, a sun deck, and several lounging areas (both inside and outside). And there is almost nowhere that doesn’t have an incredible view. The scenery in the bay is breathtaking, spectacular, and not like anywhere else in the world. It was truly amazing to sit on the sun deck during morning, day, and night — including sunrises and sunsets — to take in the environment. The activities were wonderful, and I really enjoyed everything they brought us to, including the floating village, kayaking, cave exploration, beach BBQ lunch and swimming. The service was unmatched, completely top notch. Everyone on the boat went above and beyond to make sure we were safe, comfortable, and pampered. Our captain was Thang. He kept us on schedule and totally safe. I was amazed at how he could navigate the maze of mountains in the bay. There was a rainstorm one night that we were onboard, and the boat was completely serene and placid — I’m sure because he anchored us in a very protective cove. Our chef was Chuc. Every meal was 7-10 courses of the most delicious food I’ve ever eaten. I genuinely don’t think I have ever had better seafood than I had on the boat, prepared by Chuc. The pho that was served for breakfast was also the best pho I have ever had, including the couple days I was in Hanoi before going on this tour. It was light, and the noodles were handmade and fresh cut. Our guide was Kenny G. Kenny is simply the best local tour guide in Vietnam! He was knowledgeable, smart, helpful, thoughtful, and really funny. Kenny’s passion for the area and for his work was evident throughout the tour. I don’t know the names of the other staff on the boat, but they were all exceptionally professional, warm, kind, helpful, and thoughtful. They made these 2 days some of the best days of holiday of my life.
Probably the best experience for my Hanoi trip. 3 days 2 night on the cruise seems so short. The team really went out of the way to make everything perfect. Food was surprisingly good. Every meal was just delightful. Rooms came with comfortable beddings and enough space to move around. Toilets were spacious and well maintained. Can’t believe we had a bbq lunch on a small island exclusively to Dragon Legend as well. Every single staff onboard knew how to make the guests feel special. I would recommend anyone who has the budget to get on this cruise.
