From the moment we started discussions with Pauline and Rodney picked us up at the airport, we knew we were in good hands. He was warm, funny, and just instantly put us at ease. You know how some guides feel “official” and distant? Rodney was the complete opposite: kind, informative, and genuinely fun to be around. We were smiling and laughing the whole day. We did the Cape of Good Hope tour, and honestly, it couldn’t have gone better. It felt like everywhere we went, Rodney knew everyone: other guides, site employees, vendors, you name it. Watching him chat and joke with people all along the route made the experience feel so much more local and alive. It’s one thing to see a place; it’s another to feel like you’re part of it for a day. Every stop was a highlight: watching the penguins at Boulders Beach, standing at the Cape of Good Hope, taking in the views from the lighthouse, and grabbing those incredible photos at Chapman’s Peak. Each moment felt well-timed, easy, and unhurried. Rodney made sure we had the time and space to enjoy it all, and somehow managed to keep the energy up the entire day. Had a fantastic tour of the winery’s with Jossie who looked after us and was great company and a fantastic guide, also did a second tour with Pamela of Table Mountain and down to Cape Of Good Hope another great experience

We spent a day on this tour with Candace and Mabee and they were amazing. We saw the Cape of Good Hope, hiked to the lighthouse, saw the penguins and we learned so much about Cape Town’s history and landscape. Candace and Mabee were so informative, honest, generous, flexible and kind. We were a group of 11 and our kids wanted to go swimming in the ocean (in the middle of a South African winter) and they found us the best beach! I would recommend Cape Archives Tours and Candace and Mabee to anyone.
