It is a beautiful location and very much a melting pot of people which makes it so interesting! Everything is a bit more expensive as it is at any beach, but still very reasonable. You can hang out at the beach bars, some have pools, or pay for a day pass at most of the resorts. The surfing is unreal!
Surf City has a lot to offer, so much to do, so many places to visit that 1 day is not enough!! We visited El Malecon during the evening, had supper at a restaurant called Acajutla and there was a band that would take request and played 3 songs for $20.00. The next day we went to the new mall, visited El Majahual (which is where we spent most of our day) in the evening we went back to El Malecon and found a few souvenirs to bring back with us, went on the rides and played some of the carnival games that were available, we even checked out a local soccer game! The next morning after check out we went to the local mercado and bought a few El Salvador shirts & jerseys, overall our experience in Surf City was awesome we felt safe, we did a lot of walking and it was really HOT!!!
I recommend to go surf city during an afternoon, it has a few places to eat and to snack. Of course the main attraction are the rides, I loved the view on the wheel.
Beautiful tourist spot! Good authentic restaurants (all outdoors) and live music too! It’s like a boardwalk super cute and even has steps so u can go in the water if u please! It even has a theme park for kids super cute and fun rides! even have a photographer on site u can pay to take u pics! SUPER HOT BRING A FAN!
