Eden Mill Gin Cocktail Masterclass Blends Tasting, Storytelling and Hands-On Mixology

An interactive gin cocktail masterclass at Eden Mill offers visitors a lively introduction to the art of gin appreciation and mixology. Led by expert mixologists, the experience combines storytelling, guided tasting, and practical cocktail-making in an engaging distillery setting.

The session begins with a refreshing gin and tonic on arrival, accompanied by insights into the heritage of gin and Eden Mill’s distilling journey. Guests are then guided through a tasting of three Coastal Gins — Golf Gin, Love Gin, and Original Gin — each paired with carefully selected sweet treats to enhance their flavour profiles.

Following the tasting, participants move into an elegant tasting room for a hands-on cocktail workshop. Under expert supervision, guests learn professional techniques to craft two balanced gin cocktails, gaining practical skills in mixology.

Designed to be both educational and entertaining, the masterclass offers a flavour-focused experience ideal for gin enthusiasts and curious beginners alike. It blends tradition, creativity, and hands-on learning into a memorable distillery activity.

Bought as birthday present for my sister. Gin experience was excellent. Olivia was brilliant and very knowledgeable. Would highly recommend.

We walked in hoping to join a gin tasting and they took us even though nobody else was booked on so they weren’t expecting to run it (which in hindsight we were shocked by given how good it was) The gin was delicious, Alice was super knowledgeable and lovely, and we got a really generous amount of gin for the price. She found us somewhere else to sit when we were still finishing off our gin by the time of the next tasting (because there was so much of it!) and we didn’t feel rushed out at any point. Overall a highlight of our trip to Edinburgh and hopefully will go and visit their new distillery when it opens - would recommend the gin tasting to anyone who likes gin.

Really fun experience. Gorgeous, cosy quintessentially Edinburgh underground vibe. We did the coastal gin flight. Andre was super friendly and engaging, and I genuinely came away with a greater appreciation of gin. I really loved being able to see and smell the actual ingredients and connecting them to the flavour of the gin. We got to try some really great gins, and a lot of it for the price!
