Save yourself the trouble. Buy all souvenirs from Walmart. Everything inside the airport is 300% more. Keychains for 200 pesos and at Walmart it’s 79 pesos. Check in is fast tho. Take the ADO bus. It’s only 250 pesos from playa del Carmen. It’s the best. There’s a lot of food and it’s great for alcoholics as they want you to buy drinks. Also why is there a salon in the airport? Cancun International Airport is busy but generally well organized for the huge number of travelers it handles. Immigration and customs can take time during peak hours, but staff are efficient and signage is clear. The terminals are clean, modern, and offer plenty of food, duty-free shopping, and seating options. Transportation options—taxis, shuttles, and rental cars—are easy to find, though prices can be on the higher side.
Cancun International Airport truly exceeded my expectations! It was my first time in Mexico. From the moment I arrived the airport, everything was smooth, efficient, and welcoming. The security personnels were efficient and they delivered excellent service. My standout feature is the great mix of shopping options throughout the terminals. Whether you're looking for high-end brands, local souvenirs, or travel essentials, there's something for everyone. I especially appreciated the variety, it made the wait for my flight fly by!. The airport was spacious, clean, organized and well maintained. The restrooms were good but needed more hygiene.
The airport is decent with helpful staff. There are plenty of souvenir shops and restaurants, though prices are quite high, as expected. There’s a kiosk machine at the front for convenience. Washrooms were moderately clean—I waited about 5 minutes for my turn. I took the shuttle bus to Terminal 3 to receive my sister, and the service was good. However, while waiting at Terminal 3, there was no seating available, so I had to stand for about 45 minutes, which was uncomfortable. The area outside the airport is very clean. Overall, my experience at the airport was quite good.
I was really impressed with how easy this airport is to navigate! Everything is clearly marked, and it’s simple to find food options, shops, and gates without any stress. There are plenty of good restaurants and stores to explore, and I love that it’s easy to walk back and forth while waiting to board — it makes the time go by quickly. The only thing I’d love to see improved is more charging stations, especially near the gates. Other than that, it’s a great airport experience — clean, efficient, and well-organized!
