Cayo Levantado is one of the most beautiful islands in the Dominican Republic. Its white sand beach is clean, beautiful and inviting. You must pay for a boat to take you across the bay. There you can buy lunch, and enjoy the beach for a few hours. The island is in Samana bay. Highly recommend a trip there if visiting the Dominican Republic.
I like this Island. I have been here now twice. Once in June and now in November. Water is nice. Island is clean. The people are friendly. Had lunch that was part of my Excursion and it was good.
I went there with my nephews and it was an amazing experience. We drove from Santiago to Samana and then ask for directions and God put Samuel in our way(our tourist guide) he was amazing he stayed with us the whole time and arrange everything for us. The place is peaceful and so much beauty in that island. A please of my dreams.
